He made it to the airport still slightly dazed and feeling incredibly surreal. It was all just too crazy. Did he really just run out on his own wedding? Looking around the airport he run a hand through his hair, like he was trying to get some sort of conformation he was dreaming, but he knew that was never coming. This was really happening. He stepped to the nearest window, dropping his bag to the ground. It was tiny actually, just a few essentials he managed to grab on the way, the passport in his inside pocket almost burning his skin. “Uhm, hi.” He smiled almost nervously at the women behind the desk. “What’s the next flight to?” The lady gave him a puzzled smile and checked before answering. “Paris, sir.” He smiled to himself, shaking his head. Of course it was Paris. “Okay, give me to tickets then.” From the looks she was shooting him she must’ve thought he was crazy. He looked crazy, in a tuxedo all ruffled up, buying random plane tickets. Last time he checked he had eleven missed calls and eight text messages – so he just stopped checking and turned his phone off. It wasn’t the most mature way to deal with problems, but it’d do for now.
“There you go then sir, gate eleven.” She instructed him as he received his tickets and he murmured a thanks. Was he doing a huge, giant mistake? Swallowing he picked up his bag and made it halfway towards the entrance when he spotted her, all breath leaving his body. There she was. A huge smile was already forming on his lips when their eyes met and without even thinking he closed the distance between them, enveloping her in a big hug. “You came. You actually came.” He murmured over and over again as he crushed her to his chest, dropping everything from his hands. Suddenly it didn’t seem so crazy anymore, running away with her, it sounds just perfect. Releasing her he took a step back to look at her properly before grinning again. “I bought us plane tickets. How does Paris sound? It’s the first flight out available.” He had no idea why she came, he was such a crazy bet, but he was insanely glad she did. Shaking his head once more in bewilderment he pulled her close, kissing her passionately. “Are we crazy? I mean, this is crazy, but I couldn’t do it Art, I couldn’t.” He murmured against her lips before releasing her again. “I mean, we can still change our minds, it’s totally up to you.” sighing he looked towards the boarding gates and customs, and then back towards the exit. This time, he was letting her choose.

her legs were visibly shaking as she left her new apartment that she shared with asher, leaving him a rushed note with an explanation. meeting damien st. cloud at the airport on the supposed day of his wedding. no that wasn't the note. that was the alarm in her head going on and on. while she shivered and strolled down the staircase, determined to pick up the first empty taxi she saw, she tried to think about all of this. he was calling of the wedding? or was he merely delaying it so they could figure things out? or maybe someone was playing jokes on her and she fell for that like a naive thirteen year old foolish girl. the minute her phone rang, the minute she realized what was going on, she already started throwing things into a simple bag – just the essentials, a change of clothes, wallet, toothbrush and a pack of skittles. taxi came just around the corner and she raised her hand, making a run for it. she pulled the doors open, sat right now and breathed the instructions to the taxi driver. for the next 6 minutes she tried to calm herself down, mainly her erruptive breathing that was way out of control. then they reached their final destination; she paid, she left, she once again forgot how to breathe. her bag was hung on her shoulder and her eyes were set on him, still a bit shaky she walked step after step closer for him. her arms immediately knowing what to do – hugging him.
''i said i'm on my way,'' she, too, murmured her answer into his neck, really wanting not to let go of him. this felt like safe harbor, this felt incredibly and magically right. she wiggled out of the strings of her bag, reaching up towards his neck, wrapping her arms around it. ''plane tickets, right,'' she laughed against his chest and then made a little tiny step back from amazement. ''we are going to paris?'' she opened her mouth a few times but nothing came out after that first question. paris was beautiful, paris was enchanting, mesmerizing, a perfect city. being unable to speak, she only nodded and nodded making it sure he understood she was on board with his plan. and then that passion of his kiss came back and she contently sighed returning every single movement of the lips. catching her breath she shrugged. ''this is crazy. and i'll probably start complicating as soon as we leave the states. but if this is what you want to do... then nothing and no one should be stopping you,'' she dropped her hands and then leaned back down to retreat her bag. ''oh, i'm not changing my mind. i'm going to paris,'' she laughed and looked up at the boarding gates, finding their number. ''lets just go,'' was her next reply as she reached for his hand and walked right beside him to the gates. ''i can't wait to eat croissants,'' she excitedly said. there was no way she'll start thinking about the girl he left behind or start discussing the details of the called-off wedding. she couldn't exactly say it was none of her business, but this wasn't nor the time nor the place to have such a harsh cold conversation. ''have you been there before? it's beautiful! there are stands all over the coast of senna and they sell old books there. old books, old vintage postcards, antique jewelry. and oh my, the cafés! the seats are all turned towards the street and it smells like heaven,'' she could go on and on.

He felt like laughing, he felt like dancing around, but mainly he just felt like kissing her. Again and again. “I know, but I also said I was getting married, didn’t I?” He murmured and framed her face with his hands and kissed her on her nose, shaking his head. “It was insane Artie, the way we ended things with Cass, but at least there’s no hard feelings. I hope. All I know is, my voicemail is full of angry messages from my family and I need to get away. With you.” He added and took her hand as they made their way to customs. Never releasing her they navigated their way around people and he chuckled at her words. “Paris does sound amazing, and I wish I could say that’s why I chose it – but it was the first available plane out. If they said Kentucky I would’ve agreed.” Then, they dropped off their luggage and made their way through customs, constantly kissing each other like crazy teenagers and finally got to their boarding gate. “Would you like something, maybe some coffee? Cheap perfume?” He said with laughter in his voice as he pulled her close on the bench and leaned back sighing. “I know I keep saying this, and I know I came up with it, but we’re still crazy.” He wasn’t regretting what happened, marrying Cassandra really would’ve been a mistake, that much he knew. Bur he still needed to come down, back to earth and process what just happened, but he figured he might as well postpone that, and enjoy himself while he could.
“So, obviously, you’ll be our tour guide. Do you have any hotel recommendations?” He asked pulling out his phone so he could make reservations. “I think we should definitely enjoy each other, but also do some touristy stuff. God knows when I’ll get a chance to visit next. You know, the Eiffel tower, Champs elysees, that sort of thing.” Scratching his head he gave her a sheepish smile. “Do you speak French by the way? I took French for four years, but I think the only thing I remember is ‘oui’ and ‘merci’. Oh wait no, I know some curse words as well.” He smiled and then pulled her close for another hug. Now, when he could do it freely he just couldn’t stop. it wasn’t like they were now dating – god know what they were – but he was a free man, and he could do whatever the hell he wanted. “Hey, Artie.” He murmured in her hair and pulled away a bit, frowning. “I hope I’m not messing something up for you right now. I mean, it’s not like I expected you to wait for me or anything, I mean, the last time we saw each other was…” His words trailed away and he straightened out a bit. “What I mean is, you… I mean, this doesn’t have to mean anything, unless you want it to.” He finally bit out and gave her a smile. “I’ve spend the last ten years trapped in something I really didn’t want, and I don’t want you to think you’re some kind of rebound – my relationship with Cass was over before you even showed up again in my life. So I say, we go to Paris, and see how things go, okay?” He asked and smiled again. “This is a boarding call for flight 5227 to Paris, I repeat, passengers are asked to…” He stood up and offered her his hand. “Alors mademoiselle, our plane is waiting for us.”

her smile faded a little at the mention of his wedding. a million question cannoned into her head, but she knew this wasn't the right time to ask them out loud. they should enjoy a few days on their own, oblivious to everything and everyone else. and only after they come back from paris, will she press for answers. because she needed them – why did he broke it off? because it didn't feel right, because of her, because of someone else? ''i think i might have liked kentucky too. there are a lot of cows, right?'' she laughed and started to walk after him, never letting go of his hand as if she were afraid he would simply poof into thin air if she broke the contact. she let him took care of the luggage and everything else, while she simply stood by his side, occasionally returning his fluttering kisses and never looking away from him. was this really happening? oh god, it really was happening. she was running away with damien st. cloud without a spare thought. ''i think i have everything i need right now.'' she really didn't need a coffee nor a perfume. much less all this time waiting for their flight. if they could only speed the procedure up and board already. ''we can sleep on benches in parks,'' she joked and then pointed her finger at a random hotel name on the screen of his phone. ''i usually stayed at the paris royale, but i don't want luxury. i want a simple french b&b,'' she continued and blushed at the 'enjoy each other' part of his words. ''i'll show you everything.'' it was a promise she'll definitely keep.
''i speak french. i worked with nina ricci for two years and she made me take some lessons so i could be a proper spokesperson and all that,'' she still felt weird talking about that part of her life. it was now only part of the past. no point in reminiscing. she pulled away from him and stopped near their gate, raising her brows at his careful murmuring. ''what?'' now she was the one frowning and started to look down at the tips of her boots. ''it almost seems like you want me to change my mind and find and excuse not to leave with you,'' her lips curled into a sad smile. ''i admit i'm using this as an escape from certain... things. things i need to deal with. but i want one week of happiness,'' she then loudly sighed and looked up, ''with you.'' it was simple as that – she needed a safe haven and just now he offered that to her. when she comes back she'll have to deal with whatever feelings she might develop for him in the following days. she'll have to deal with the fact she's falling for callum and that her roommate isn't only her roommate. it was all messed up and she felt like shit for sitting on not two but three chairs. but she'll find a solution and make a right choice. ''lets just see how it goes,'' she offered a conclusion and then winced at his use of word rebound. she never actually thought about that. their flight was called and she tangled her fingers with his and walked towards the gate, feeling like a big fat liar.

He wasn't scared of flying, but it wasn't one of the things he enjoyed doing regularly. Yet, with Artie by his side Damien thought he could get used to this. They were seated first class, and there wasn’t much people on the plane to begin with – the high season for traveling hasn’t started yet. He sighed contently, his arm still curled around her as they lounged back in their seats and he sipped champagne with his free hand, swirling with glass in air absent-mindedly. His head just couldn’t grasp around the reality he was in, the fact he was sitting on the plane going into the wrong direction. Wasn’t he supposed to be heading to Hawaii or someplace for his honeymoon, with Cassandra by his side? The way he saw time changed. It was four o’clock anymore, it was three hours since his wedding. He glanced down on his empty finger, where a golden band should be resting by now. There was no point in thinking that way, and it wasn’t anyone’s fault – least of which Artie’s, and yet here he was. He sighed again and looked down at her brown mop of hair and slightly nudged her. He just couldn’t stand to be alone with his thoughts anymore. “Hey, princess. Are you asleep?” He knew full well she wasn’t but was just resting and enjoying the silence, or maybe contemplating her own thoughts and he gave her a slightly brighter smile. “Are you hungry maybe? I feel asleep before for a bit, I think maybe we’ll be landing soon.” He murmured and looked around the lightly dimmed cabin for a stewardess so he could ask her. “Look!” He pointed out the window, at the sky and its glorious colors as the sun was slowly getting ready to set. “Beautiful isn’t it?” He whispered closely to her ear and then turned towards her.
She really was beautiful, that’s what struck him the most. Damien was, sadly, a guy who could fall for a girl quite easily and without any complications. It was just something that happened naturally to him, and even if he didn’t love all of them, he’s certainly been in love several times. And he certainly was falling for her. Or at least he could be. I guess Paris would tell. “So, what’s the first thing you want to do when we get there?” He asked, and smiled slightly as his thoughts as they instantly turned dirty and he wiggled his eyebrows at her. “I know what I’d wanna do.” Smiling again he took her hand between his and almost wistfully looked at her. “That almost felt like old times.” Their ‘old’ flirty innocent good times, when they couldn’t stop poking each other with innuendos and suggestions, but Damien now realized that maybe the reason it was so easy back then was because they both knew nothing can happen. Unlike now, when they were completely alone, very much available, heading to Paris. “Ugh, I’ll probably be so asleep. You haven’t seen me when I’m sleepy. I turn into this grouchy seventy year old, who can’t do anything. So I’ll need some food, greasy food to keep me going. Especially,” he gave her a pointed look, ”if there’s going to be shopping involved.” He muttered as he’d been on their shopping expeditions before and he barely made it out alive. The plane jolted slightly and Damien gripped his chair more tightly. “Okay, we’re definitely started to descend. Or we’re crashing. Either way, we’re going down.” He gave her another smile and leaned back, taking a deep breath.

all the way through the flight, she'd been looking out of her window, admiring the sight of soft peach-colored creamy clouds that surrounded them. she loved flying – every single part of it. the first class luxury with champagne, the uncertainty and instability of being miles away from solid ground, strangers and unfamiliar faces all around her. her thumb was drawing tiny circles around damien's palm, while the rest of her fingers were entwined with his. the second she heard him speak, she directed her gaze on her companion and softly smiled. ''i never sleep on planes. i'm always sure i'll miss something out if i close my eyes. which is silly since only clouds are out there,'' she explained and shifted in her seat so she was now directed towards him, her knees touching his thighs. they'll be landing soon and this fairy tale will finally take off. start. through the flight she'd been thinking about everything – how to deal with all these intense and unknown feelings, how to organize herself and her own heart. how exactly does one know for certain what one's feeling? she always expected to just know love, to feel it in her gut. but now she'd only begun to realize it was nowhere near that simple. she nodded, agreeing with his words and then pressed a gentle kiss on his left cheek. it was so easy to simply be herself with him. she didn't have to keep up a certain image, pretend she's this confident well-paid model that lives in the spotlight. she could simply be artie and no one else. her palm nuzzled across his face and she scooted closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder.
''i want to go to montmartre and get myself drunk with the locals,'' she answered and her laughter died a little bit at hearing his following words. sex, intimacy. this would usually be the point where she says it's not going to happen. she told him she was a virgin. was. but she didn't tell him that was past tense and not reality anymore. ''do you sleep with your clothes on?'' she then blurted the troublesome question and blushed immediately. ''i mean... because we... we'll share a room, right?'' oh god, now she was really anxious. yes, she knew running away with him meant they'll fall into compromising situations and there will be opportunities for getting to the next base. ''seventy years old, rich and good looking? yeah, you're definitely a catch since i'm such a gold digger,'' her hand was now laid over the hard muscles of his stomach, she needed to touch him at all times to keep herself grounded. this was really happening! ''we'll get settled in our hotel, order some room service, eat strawberries and drink champagne. then we'll pass out,'' she sighed and turned her face and burrowed it into the crook of his neck inhaling him deeply. sudden turbulence made her tremble and her hand suddenly gripped his thigh, looking for anything to hold on. ''okay,'' she said as soon as she realized what was going on and then glanced at her hand on his leg. hm. ''i'm suddenly getting ideas when it's already too late,'' her lips curled into a secretive smile and her eyes sparkled with mischief. ''hmmm, mile high?''

He tried very hard not to laugh at her question, but failed miserably. “Uhm, yeah. I mean, I have my PJ bottoms on. You think you can handle my bare chest?” He asked, laughter still in his voice but sobered up a bit, realizing where this conversation was going. He kept forgetting Artie was so inexperienced, because she just kept surprising him. Like now. His breath caught in his mouth, all the reassurances he meant to say about their night together instantly evaporating from his thoughts. “Mile high?” He muttered while his hands were already unbuckling her belt and he pulled her on his lap. Her long legs straddled him and his hands got lost in his luscious long hair. This, was definitely heaven. “Sir, madam? We’re going to land shortly, please buckle you’re seatbelts.” The stewardess couldn’t exactly hide the laughter from her voice as she passed them and Damien returned Artie back to her seat and strapped her. “Behave.” He muttered and rubbed a hand through his hair, trying to compose himself. She was going to drive him crazy at this rate. Finally, finally the plane landed and Damien exhaled gratefully and pressed a quick kiss to her lips. “Welcome to Paris, mon amour. Did I say that right?” He asked already rising and getting their luggage, before dragging her behind him off the plane. He couldn’t believe they were actually here, together.
It was surprisingly easy to find a taxi, but then again, everything seemed easy to him today. He felt like a huge burden has been lifted off his shoulders as he hugged Artie on the backseat, watching the street lights as they were driving through Paris at dusk. “Merci.” He muttered to the driver as he deposited them in front of their hotel and kept glancing at Artie as they checked in. He didn’t even think about the fact they were going to share a room, not a room – a bed – until the moment the man asked him if a matrimonial bed was okay. “Yes, yes, fine.” He gave her another assured smile as they entered the elevator and grasped her hand. “What was it, room service, strawberries and champagne?” He asked once the doors closed behind their luxurious room and threw himself on the huge bed. “What’d you want, I’m thinking… a huge steak. I’m starving.” He was already dialing the number as she glanced at the menu and then placed their order. He accidentally kicked the bag next to him and picked it up with a sigh. “I should probably turn my phone back on, let my family know I’m still alive. But I really, really, really don’t want to.” He threw himself backwards on the back exhaling and then turning his head around to locate her in the room. “What are you doing all the way over there? Come here,” he patted the bed next to him. “It’s reeeeally comfy.”

she was still all flustered when their plane landed and they had to go through the usual check in, explaining the purpose of their visit. her cheeks were flaming at the memory of his hands gripping her hips. if the stewardess wouldn't come up to them, she would probably even dare to do something more, perhaps explore every single line of his body while sitting comfortably on his lap, her knees pressed on both sides of his hips. ''oui,'' she replied with a smile and followed him out of the airport where they waited for their taxi. she quickly explained the driver where they're going, even though her french wasn't nowhere near perfect. it was enough to make life in france easier and traveling around the city almost simple. in her mind she started making all sorts of plans for up-coming days. they should definitely see all the most important tourist sights – climb up the eiffel tower, but not just up to the second etage, but further up, to the top of it. and one whole day should be reserved only for louvre – she loved sitting in front of the art and just look at it without talking or discussing it. then they should go to versailles, run around the beautiful garden. and definitely get drunk on montmartre. ooooh, and maybe take a boat down the river of seine in the evening. paris was magical at night, true fairy tale come-to-life. before her mind had a chance to wander even further, their taxi stopped in front of the randomly chosen hotel, she climbed out of the backseat and waited there for damien. ''it's not bad,'' she nodded when she looked up to see the whole opulent building, but then quickly followed her companion inside to the reception. her breathing quickened once she realized they will indeed share a room - it was kind of expected but it was still a whole new reality. one that didn't include his fiancée and all that.
she entered the room and dropped her suitcase by the entrance, looking around the luxurious suite. ''whoah,'' was her first impression of all the lavishness they were surrounded with. ''this is too much. can we afford this?'' she twisted around with a cautious look. he was already holding up the phone and waiting for her order. ''i'll have salmon with pommes frites.'' she really loved eating fish and sea food, always ordered that while dining out. her step floated towards the big bathroom and then she started opening all the drawers and there she found a bunch of chocolate sweets, grabbing them all and turning around to show her treasure to damien. but he was already lying in the middle of a bed made for kings and his shirt slipped slightly up, revealing a patch of naked skin that made her catch her breath. loudly. ''i have chocolate,'' she announced. ''what, you miss me already?'' she chuckled but ran towards the bed and dropped all the candy beside him then playfully jumped up on the mattress. she curled herself up beside him and then pushed him slightly aside: ''go see what a big bathroom we have. the tub is enormous and there are free shampoos everywhere and mango soap. and those special bubbles that smell like cherries. it's fruit heaven in there!'' she gave him a light kiss on the shoulder for a short-lasted goodbye, when he went to see what she was talking about. apparently he already turned his phone on, because it beeped somewhere near her head. she blindly found it with her hand and brought it forward. it had a touch screen and the new message opened itself up the minute she held the screen. lois. okay, so she read the message, but completely non-intentionally. the end result was confusing. she dropped the phone back on the bed and lifted herself up on her elbows. ''damien?'' she called. ''can you please hurry back?'' what did the message mean? who was this lois girl? and she was sure she's a girl, because he surely wasn't gay. she shouldn't judge, obviously they were both hiding something from one another. when he came back through the bathroom door she put on a brave convincing smile when she whispered her invite: ''the stewardess interrupted us before.''

note; this is shamefully late, i'm so so so sorry -.-
He couldn't ignore the fact they were laying so close to each other on this wonderfully comfortable bed, nor could his body. His hand was already sneaking up behind her to pull her close and press a kiss on her lips. Probably a few more would follow if she didn’t push him aside and he laughed, rolling away. “Yes ma’am!” With the enthusiasm of a small child he ran to the bathroom and laughed once he was inside. “It’s HUGE! Like, my apartment back home huge.” He was only partially joking – his apartment was slightly larger, but the bathroom was enormous. “Mm?” He muttered when he heard his name, still inspecting all the wonderful corners of the bathroom and then poked his head out. “What? Oh…” All the blood in his body rushed downward at her words and he straightened immediately. There was a different light shinning in his eyes as he came closer, focused solely on her. God, she was incredible. He stopped a few feet away from the bed looking down at her, smiling slightly. “I guess she did.” He murmured before lowering himself back down, covering her body with his immediately. It felt so good to have her underneath him, to feel every single inch of their bodies as they were entwined together. He kissed the corners of her lips before travelling across her jaw and down her neck, before stopping at the corners of her shirt. He hooked his fingers in the fabric to pull it slightly aside and reveal more skin for him to kiss. He murmured in approval before raising his head and giving her an almost devilish skin. This was all he could think of, all he ever dreamt off. He scooted downward and settled himself between her legs, almost painfully slowly raising her shirt upward, kissing the trail of her naked skin as he moved.
Finally her raised the shirt off her and met their lips again, this time more passionately. They devoured each other, and Damien could feel passion clouding his mind. He kept repeating to himself they needed to take things slowly, savor each other but her hands more moving just as fast as his. Soon, way too soon he lost his shirt as well and almost on instinct he found her zipper and revealed her impossibly long legs. “Wrap your legs around me..” He muttered against her lips and closed his eyes at all the pleasure she was giving him with this request before continuing to kiss her. His hands were free to roam wherever they wanted, and the thought thrilled and scared him at the same time. There was no fiancée or stewardess to stop them this time, only Lois somewhere at the back of his mind, but even that was going to stop him. When he heard his zipper opening he finally snapped back to life, good judgment stepping back in place. He did some bad things in his life, but even he wasn’t a complete bastard. “Wait…” He raised himself on his arms and laughed shakily. “We seem to be getting ahead of ourselves.” His voice was quiet and he rolled of her and he sat up, looking down at her. “This isn’t… You have no idea how much I want this. But that’s not how it should happen, our first time, your first time.” He swallowed and shrugged. “Not on my wedding day and on our first night in Paris, we… we should take our time.” He couldn’t believe he was saying it, but there it was.

note: i didn't check for mistakes. sry.
she couldn't follow that train of thought. she just couldn't go there. damien was the one that hurt her the most in the past and yet he found a way through all of her defenses. he made her trust him again. and now there was someone elses name on his cellphone and that hurt her like a kick in the gut. it was wrong to try fighting this bitter feeling inside her with sex. with a non-existent distance between their bodies. but it was exactly what she planned to do. even if there was this lois girl in his life, she needed a proof it wasn't all a big fat lie. that his affection for her was real. she never planned on falling for him this hard. right now nothing else mattered. not callum nor lois. she raised herself up on her elbows so it was easier for him to lift her shirt. she devoured his lips – kissing them hungrily with an unbearable desire. her hands knew what to do and his shirt landed somewhere on the floor. she sank down into the soft bed beneath her, pulling him along and spreading her legs apart so he could settle between. such a thin layer of clothes separated them, it was obvious the affection was there. but lust was a silly thing. attraction was superficial. caring and love were not. and she needed to know, somehow, if he honestly cared for her or was she just a simple escape from his engagement.
she followed his command and wrapped her legs around his waist, squeezing him slightly. her hands roamed along the muscles of his back, that were moving with him. her nails scratched slightly as he found a spot on the side of her neck and she moaned silently into his ear. ''damien,'' his name escaped her cries and one of her hands unzipped his pants. she wanted him so bad. before she could push his pants and briefs down, his palm wrapped around her wrist, stopping her immediately. her eyes instantly fluttered open in confusion. ''why...'' she tried to form a coherent sentence, which was basically impossible. ''why are you stopping?'' finally she managed to find some reason as she followed him with her eyes while he moved away, sitting up and looking at her. ''come back,'' it was a quiet plea. she needed him close and now he was drifting away. why the fuck? ''what are you talking about?'' she was trying to make some sense out of the abundance of words coming from him. ''my first time,'' it made sense now. he was thinking of her. he was stopping this because he wanted it to be special. for her. for her virginity. virginity that wasn't there any more. ''i'm not a virgin, damien. at least not any more.''
this time it was her turn to swallow and explain herself, the best that she could. ''i... i'm not a virgin anymore. my first time already happened a few weeks ago,'' she continued, searching for words. she sat down on her knees near to him, stopping herself before reaching for him. ''it was really silly, because i was slightly drunk... i don't think i would change anything though.'' yes, it was in a toilet cabin. yes, she wasn't sober. yes, she had very little contact with callum since then. but it was a good experience. ''he was a good friend of mine. he had a crush on me back from when we once worked together. he came in town and we got drunk and started making out but then i stopped everything. a few days later i called him, we met up in the bar and... i just did it,'' it was embarrassing to talk about this. it was painful to tell him this. ''i'm sorry,'' she murmured. then she picked up his phone from the bedside locker and passed it on to him. ''lois texted you.''
